Dinner tonight was roast veggies and on a whim I decided to try and make an apple sauce to go with them. I made up the “recipe” as I went and it turned out really well. It was the best on the sweet potato.
It’s fun to cook spontaneously, especially when stuffing up doesn’t mean you don’t get fed! We even used the leftover sauce to make little pastry desserts. What have you invented in the kitchen lately?

Yesterday made a side dish of some strange cucumbers I got from the farmer’s market and smoked tofu. Spiced with salt, pepper, turmeric and yeast flakes. Wasn’t bad at all!;)
