I had to call Centrelink today to sort out some reporting issues I had, and to be honest I was expecting to be on hold for at least an hour or two. However, my entire call, holding and all, was done within half an hour and the lady who answered my call was incredibly helpful. I always make sure I’m extra nice to call centre phone operators, because I know not everybody is, but it’s really great when they’re super nice back.

And when she wished me a good afternoon at the end of the call, I could tell she actually meant it. Sometimes it’s the little extra touches that make a customer service experience so much better.
