I’m grateful for planes and cheap flights and familiar destinations. I’m grateful for happy babies on said planes and for being the last one off (for the first time ever). I’m grateful for confined time and loom knitting and for baby hats being small enough to completely make before we even start to descend (fasten your seat belts!). I’m grateful for connecting trains and knowing my way around this city and finally feeling like home. I’m grateful for sensible weather and humidity and green gardens and familiar smells. I’m grateful for gifts given and bags unpacked and meals enjoyed. I’m grateful for the space I’ve been given and the love I feel and the comfort of being here. I’m grateful.
